VANCOUVER, CANADA – Harrison Hot Springs announced today they have commercially installed SenseNet’s fully integrated solution for early detection, advanced monitoring and immediate response to wildfire, powered by Rogers 5G network in the Village of Harrison Hot Springs, located in Southwestern B.C. SenseNet, a global leader in early wildfire detection, protection and management, has partnered with Rogers to bring the company’s AI-based wildfire detection solution powered by Rogers 5G Network to communities across B.C. and Alberta.

“We commend the Village of Harrison Hot Springs for taking a progressive mindset to implement innovative fire detection technology and install a proactive solution to safeguard residents, businesses and thousands of tourists visiting their community. The reliability and effectiveness of our platform will allow Harrison Hot Springs to detect fires in the earliest stages to reduce response times and complement firefighting efforts,” says Hamed Noori, CEO and Co-Founder of SenseNet.

SenseNet’s advanced fire detection technology is a comprehensive network of patented fire detection sensors, cameras, gateways, AI-driven fire behaviour models, and satellite integration, which significantly enhances early fire detection and management capabilities as well as real-time data analysis to provide highly accurate and early alerts to wildfires.

The Harrison Hot Springs installation consists of 120 ground sensors, five gateways and five cameras situated throughout the East Sector Lands and on the western forested side of the Village beneath the BC Hydro lines. Additional equipment, including gateways and cameras, is installed on the Harrison Hot Springs Fire Hall, the Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa, the Harrison Yacht Club building and the Village’s Water Reservoir. If smoke is detected by any sensor, the Village will be alerted with real-time location and analysis and then have the information to initiate the appropriate response to provide immediate, ultra early wildfire detection.

Combined with Rogers 5G extensive coverage, SenseNet’s early wildfire detection and management system will allow Harrison Hot Springs to be at the forefront of wildfire prevention and management to protect their community and help firefighters serve and protect residents and the more than 750,000 visitors that tour the area’s hot springs, beaches, and forests every year.

Predator Ridge is another resort community, located in Vernon, B.C., that has been commercially operating the SenseNet early wildfire detection system since 2022. In Vernon, since the SenseNet system installation in 2021, there have been 217 fires detected and mitigated in their earliest stages, and zero wildfires outbreak in areas covered by SenseNet, while 11.8M acres have burned in B.C. (an area larger than Switzerland). The average detection time of fire was three minutes, compared to the average detection time of 60 minutes to several hours.
